North Carolina Juvenile Justice Behavioral Health Partnerships
A statewide initiative to address the mental health and substance abuse needs of young persons and families in contact with the juvenile justice system.
Effective, Family-Centered Services
The NC JJBH Partnerships are local teams across North Carolina working together to deliver effective, family-centered services and supports for juvenile justice-involved youth with substance use, mental health challenges, or facing issues in both areas.
These partnerships require an organized person-centered system operating under System of Care principles.
System of Care Principles
Clinical Assessments
Comprehensive substance abuse and mental health assessments by licensed professionals for youth referred from the juvenile justice system.
Evidence-Based Treatment
Qualified treatment options for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders by appropriately licensed professionals.
Child & Family Teams
At the core of our approach, CFTs bring together family, natural supports, and stakeholders to create strength-based plans.
